Nashville

Well, the pictures are backwards, but we so enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Nashville!

Thursday, we drove up and checked into the Opry Land Hotel! It is just amazing and bigger than anything you could think of! We quickly showered and changed to get down town for the Dwight Yoakam concert at the Ryman. It was awesome! He played probably 20-25 songs and we had a great time. One guy in his band played 12 different instruments plus sang vocals. Amazing! He still had the moves, too! ha!

While we waited for the valet to bring our car, we walked down Music Row for a minute then headed back to the hotel. We were trying to hurry back to make it before Room Service closed. We got to the hotel at 11:30 and stopped at the desk to tell them we found mold in our room. They were so so nice and changed our room to a newly remodeled room overlooking the garden area! It was amazing! He also gave us a $50 room credit! We ran upstairs and changed rooms and called in the room service with 3 minutes to spare! In no time, they brought our hamburgers and fries on a rolling table. So fancy! We wheeled it out onto the balcony and ate out there with the sound of the waterfall and the beautiful view! The food was delcious and it was the perfect night! (and it only cost us $2 plus the tip!)

The next morning, we ate breakfast at the hotel. I had a very good yogurt parfait while Adam got the $23 buffet!!! After breakfast we walked around to all the garden areas and shopped some, too. It is so beautiful and we could have spent more time but I wanted to hit up some Nashville thrift stores. We did find two, but they were not great. Then Adam was over it, so we found a hotel farther out and booked it and checked in. Then we left to go eat at Chuy's, go to the mall at Opry Mills, and make it to the 7:30 showing of War Room. Chuy's was okay (I think i got the wrong thing), the mall was quick, but War Room was so so good! I loved it! After the movie, we walked over to the Grand Old Opry and grabbed a few gifts from the store before we went back to the hotel.

Saturday, we ate free at the hotel before we left and went to Wal-Mart and World Market. (My first time!) Then we met my sweet long-time friend, Katherine, and her cute little girl, Riley, for lunch at Jim and Nick's. It was delicious and it was so good to see them! I haven't seen her in almost 4 years!  Of course, I'm kicking myself we didn't even take one picture! ahhh! Well, that was all of our trip and we headed home to see those babies as fast as we could. Which, by the way, isn't fast. Such a long drive. But not before Blue facetimed us about 4 times! ha! Da-ddy. Da-ddy. Not Mama. Just Da-ddy. We were so happy to be home and love them and kiss their face 462 times! The boys got Cars from the Disney store. Alabama got a chopstick flamingo from World Market and a harmonica that she has put to good use from the hotel store. We were all happy to be together again. Especially Audra. :)

I'm so thankful for an amazing family who took good care of our babies and even did our laundry while we were able to go on our first trip ever with no kids! :) Thank you thank you thank you!!!!xoxo
