Blue is 18 months old!

Our baby boy is a year and a half! We are so thankful for this precious boy! He makes us laugh and pull our hair out all in the same day! ha! He loves to put train tracks together and will do it for a long time! He likes to play cars and read the book about trucks and tractors. Daddy is his favorite. If I ask him does he love Daddy he shakes his head and entire shoulders yes, but if I ask him about the rest of us, he shakes his head no and says "uh-uh." He says lots of words now! About 20.  Daddy is his favorite. If I ask him does he love Daddy he shakes his head and entire shoulders yes, but if I ask him about the rest of us, he shakes his head no and says "uh-uh."  Everywhere we go, when we see a truck or a tractor , he gets so excited and points and says Daddy! He says lots of words now! About 20. A few are cookie, up, Beau, milk, bye, hey, mimi, papa, daddy, mama, ball, balloon, bubble, uh-oh, book, and boat. He is still content to play by himself a lot but hates when Alabama and Pate wont let him play with them. He loves the water now, too. He likes us to sing "If you're happy and you know it" and he especially loves the stomping part. He is a climber and a jumper. Before he jumps off something, he swings his arms and "counts" to three. :)  He will climb halfway out of his bed but hasn't tried to get down the otherside. Let's hope he doesn't! The funniest thing is when he rides his bouncy horse in his room and pretends to fall off the side until you say, "Oh, no! Don't fall off!" Then he slides back up and keeps riding and laughing! ha! He still plays peek-a-boo with me.

His little tickle voice is the most precious when he's tickling you. He loves to pretend he's a puppy and crawl on the floor and come to let you pet him. He doesn't love dogs in real life, though. Or cats.

Last week, he was so sick with a fever and I loved the extra cuddles and loving because he's usually too busy for all that! He has about 12 teeth now and weighs 25 pounds. He wears 18-24 month clothes and just got into a size 6 shoe. He is a pretty picky eater but does love most fruit and suddenly GUACAMOLE! :) Yay! Also, all and any dessert, of course. He's had his first boat ride and first trip to the beach this summer. He's a wild boy and tries to get away from me everywhere we go. He's so sneaky and looks back and smiles as he runs away. Alabama and Pate love him so, but he won't have anything to do with their kisses and hugs most days! Alabama gets in trouble every.single. day. for picking him up while he is steady screaming at her to stop. He is also very smart and knows so much! Alabama and I love watching him do new things and figure things out!

We love you Blue Baby and can't wait to see the amazing plans God has for your life! I pray that you will follow Him all the days of your life and walk in His ways. I'm so proud I get to be your Mama!

Valentine's 2015

Catching up on the blog today. Here are a few pictures from our Valentine's Day this year.
Adam and Alabama went on a Daddy Daughter date night to Chick-fil-A complete with Limo ride! She was beautiful!
Pate had a fun Valentine's Day party with his class at school on Thursday and gave Jake and the Neverland Pirate valentine's. I love the cute shirts I made the boys! It is very hard to find cute Valentine shirts for boys so I found these shirts at Target and sewed the little felt heart onto the pocket. Pefect!

Valentine's Day breakfast of heart shaped pancakes and pink milk. The balloons were a hit. Literally!

For Alabama's party at school, Rachel and I planned a whole day of fun for them! We played bingo, made pipe cleaner heart glasses, painted bags, and had fun valentine snacks! It was so fun and I loved helping! I hope she has sweet memories of her kindergarten year. We also had to decorate a box for the Valentine's to go in and we did a cake box and it turned out so cute!

This was a yummy Valentine float that we had! It was just cherry sprite and ice cream!

St. Simon's Island

We were so excited to be able to go to St. Simon's last month with our good friends and cousins, the Walden's. The kids were so ready and excited! We left after Adam got off work on Friday night and got to the condo around midnight. It was a cute house about a block or two from the beach. The kids all shared a room upstairs and we had our own little suite on the first floor. We brought the pack and play for Blue and he did fine in it. The next morning, we  went to the beach with way too much stuff! ha! Blue and Pate and Alabama all loved it! They dug in the sand and played in the water and had the best time! The Daddy's took the big kids to the sandbar and had quite the adventure swimming back! "Sir, do you need my noodle???!" We found seashells and they loved burying Uncle Wal in the sand. We found sand dollars and shells with some type of mussels inside.

That night, we went to Crab Daddy's and it was delicious!!! I had the shrimp pasta and so did Ashley...ha! I also had crab cake for an appetizer and it was very good. After we ate, we went to get ice cream and walked down to the pier. While we were there, we saw a tugboat bring back a captain who takes the ships through the channel.

Typical....ha!

The second day, we went to the beach, too. We left around 12 and went back to the house to get ready to meet Jeff and Brooke for lunch. We ate at Nacho's but had a little time in the car while we were waiting which was good because Blue took a good nap. I had the shrimp nacho's and they were so so good!!! After that, we all went to meet the Walden's at the Sea Turtle Center. I thought Clara would love it! When we got there, I was so happy to see my friend, Patty Bea! I got to meet her husband and two children who are so cute. Before we left, we watched them clean and check on the baby turtles who just hatched from their eggs. It was really neat! They were about the size of a quarter! We went back to St. Simon's to eat at Mullet Bay that night and it was okay.
The kids loved the calamari! ha! It was raining when we left, so we went back to the house and put the kids to bed. Then we talked and  played games until very late and had the best time!

On Monday, we went to the pool at Neptune Park. So fun!

We went back that afternoon to the house and while Blue and Beau took a nap, Ashley and I went to a few shops in the village. We had fun looking around by ourself! That night, we met the awesome Haley Lamb on the beach and took some family pictures! I'm so glad that it worked out! After we went back and changed Alabama (jump in the waves..do something wiiild!), we met Jeff and Brooke at Millhouse in Brunswick for supper and it was really good. I had the shrimp and grits and loved it! I actually want some more now! We got back in late that night.

Pre-picture before the Photo session on the beach!
From the bridge to Jekyll at Sunset

The next morning, we packed up the car and went to the lighthouse. It was really pretty but we didn't want to pay to go up so we took some pictures in front of it.  We met Haley and Tony for breakfast at Chick fil A then went back to the pier for a Trolley Tour. Pate really wanted to do that because Daniel Tiger! He and Blue actually both fell asleep but I really enjoyed learning about the history of St. Simon's. One of my favorite parts was the tunnel of Live Oak trees. After one more stop at the Bailey Boy's outlet, we left the island and started home. We stopped in Brunswick for a late lunch/early supper at Logan's then headed out. It was such a fun trip but we were tired! A fun filled four days with our best friends and cousins was such a blessing!
