Whirlwind trip to Panama City

This weekend, we took a crazy trip to see our family in Headland and go with them to the beach on Saturday. We left our house at 2:10 am and arrived in Headland at 7:30 am! We woke the family and they got ready to go to Panama City, about another 2 hours away.
We had a picnic with all the family then went to the beach. It wasn't much of a beach but the kids had fun anyway! We played in the sand and water and relaxed on the beach for a few hours.

We got cleaned up (complete with shampoo, conditioner, and washrags! ha!) at the beach shower, changed clothes and went to eat at Uncle Ernie's Restaurant on the Bay. It was overpriced, but had a really pretty view.

Adam was swinging with the kids while we waited on our food. Pate was of course really tired from no nap and the crazy drive the night before. I thought he would sleep the whole time, but he was awake all the way past Atlanta.
He tried on the bitty baby's hat!
Here's the family in the restaurant.
Alabama loving on her cousin, Katie Claire. Before we left home she said, "I hope Katie Claire remembers me!" ha! It was so funny when  we got to the picnic area Katie Claire went right up to Pate and talked to him and hugged him. He stood perfectly still and let her hug him but then right away came to me! It was so funny!
Even if we were soo tired and barely made it home awake, (we drove straight back Saturday night and arrived home at 4 am! I know!), it was so good to see all our cousins and visit for a few hours. Alabama stayed with Mimi and Nana and came back with them on Sunday. She had a great time, too! Especially painting Uncle Jerry's nails green with pink polka dots!

Sparklers

Alabama is soo very good at twirling in Sparklers and she loves it so much! She went to Sparklers this past year every Saturday morning and practices twirling every day, all day. She makes up her own routines and dances at home, but knows her routine so well for her performances.
She had her recital in May and I thought she did amazing. They twirled and did a routine with streamers, too. I'm so proud of her. She also went to Auxilliary Camp at the beginning of the summer and did probably 5-6 routines in the show. She seriously did so good on them all. She listens and follows directions so well and does really well for a four year old in her first year, I think! She didn't really like the camp because I think there were just so many girls there, but she said she loves her class on Saturdays.
* Every time we go by the high school, Pate tells me that Alabama twirls there with his baton motions. Ha!

Welcome to the Real World!

So, I finally have DSL again and I can do all the things normal people on the internet can! I can upload pictures, blog, download things, watch videos, etc. I just don't know what to do with myself! I think I'll catch up on some blogging from this summer! Yay!

Update: Well, maybe not! I still can not get pictures to load!!!!

Pate is 20 months

Pate you are 20 months old. You are growing so big! You wear 18-24 month clothes and size 5 shoes. You are so fun to play with! You love for someone to tickle you and will ask them to do it over and over again! You like to play with your sister and wrestle and play (until someone gets hurt!). You love trains and like to play with them but get frustrated when they won't stay together. You say "Whoo whoo" every time we go over the rail road tracks and then "uh -oh" when there's no train! ha! You also like to play with your trucks and cars and tractors. Your favorite places to push them is the table in the play room, the couch, and my bed. You spot tractors wherever you go and want me to look at them every time. You ask me to watch TV and like to watch Mickey, tractor shows, and Thomas. You are pretty picky about what you eat. You like spaghetti, strawberries, pouches, bananas, blackberries, chicken nuggets, yogurt, apple sauce, and love to sneak apple juice from Alabama's cup.
You say mama, Dada, Kah Kah, Papa, juju, ball, cup(p), golf cart, more, nana, georgia, and go dawgs! Maybe you will talk one day! Ha!
You are friendly, sweet, playful, mischievous, and all boy! You make mine and Alabama's day so fun!
